The HKIC Outstanding Alumni Award
Introduction
The Hong Kong Institute of Construction (HKIC) nurtured many industry talents throughout the years and quite a number of them have developed their career well in the industry. Thus, HKIC is organising the Outstanding Alumni Award (“Award”) in order to recognise alumni for their outstanding achievements, services and significant contribution to the construction industry.
The Award is organised every two years. The Award also aims to encourage the students to gain the experience and learn from the winners. On the other hand, alumni are encouraged to participate in the Construction Industry Council (CIC), HKIC and industry’s activities in order to play a vital role in continuous development of the construction industry.
Nomination Criteria
Eligibility of Nominee

1. |
The nominee for the Award must be a graduate of CIC, HKIC or former CITA who has successfully completed a full-time programme and attained a graduation certification accredited by CIC / HKIC / CITA; |
|
2. |
Worked in construction industry 5 years and above after graduation; and |
|
3. |
Still working in construction industry. |
Eligibility of Proposer

Graduate of CIC / HKIC; or |

Current full-time staff member of CIC / HKIC; or |
|
l |
Construction Trade Associations and Employers; or |
|
l |
Construction Worker Unions; or |
|
l |
Construction related institutions. |
Nomination procedures
|
1. |
The form should be completed by the nominators and submitted to HKIC on or before deadline. |
|
2. |
Nominators have to obtain prior consent of the nominees before making nominations. Self-nomination is not acceptable. |

Selection Criteria

1. |
Candidates' achievements in designated trades and continuing education in their respective fields (with relevant qualifications of the construction industry). |
|
2. |
Candidates' contributions to the construction industry or awards received (e.g. Construction Industry Outstanding Young Person Award, Young Lo Pan Award, etc.). |
|
3. |
Candidates' support to CIC, HKIC and its alumni affairs development. |
Award and Award Presentation Ceremony
Announcement of Awardees
Result will be announced in mid-2022. The awardees will be invited to attend the Award Presentation Ceremony.
Award
Each awardee will receive a trophy and award certificate. Nominator will be invited to attend the Award Presentation Ceremony and will be acknowledged.

Nomination
Nominators should submit a completed nomination form for each nominee by post to the following address “38/F, COS Centre, 56 Tsun Yip Street, Kwun Tong, Kowloon” or email to [email protected]. The postmark date should not be later than the prescribed deadline.
