Admission Notice
For applicants of Certificate in Construction, Diploma in Construction and Advanced Diploma who have submitted complete documents and meet the required qualifications, will generally receive an offer within a week after interview.
How to Apply
Applicants can apply online through HKIC’s webpage at www.hkic.edu.hk, or complete and return the application form
- By post to Construction Industry Council, 38/F, COS Centre, 56 Tsun Yip Street, Kwun Tong, Kowloon, Hong Kong;
- By hand in person to any HKIC Campus or Hong Kong Construction Industry Trade Testing Centre;
- By fax to 2100 9139
Notice of Application
- Applicants generally receive a reply within 7 working days
Remarks
- Students who are under long-term medication may require recommendation from a medical practitioner. (Should a student fail to catch up the curriculum or unable to fulfill the requirements mentally/physically, HKIC may request the student to withdraw from programme.)
- Applicants of Diploma In Construction (Bar Bending & Fixing), Diploma In Construction (Painting & Decoration), Diploma In Construction (Electrical Installation), Certificate In Construction (Electrical Installation) and Certificate In Construction (Painting & Decoration) are required to pass the colour/ physical fitness test to ensure the applicants have appropriate abilities to complete the courses.
- Applicants of the Diploma In Construction (Bar Bending & Fixing) are required to wear or bring their own sportswear and sport shoes for the physical fitness test during the admission interview.
- HKIC may accept or reject any application in its absolute sole discretion and is not obliged to provide any reason(s) for accepting or rejecting any application.
- HKIC may at its absolute discretion without notice at any time and under any circumstances withdraw or modify the provisions of any goods or services.

Application Period

Notice of Application
- Applicants generally receive a reply within 7 working days. HKIC will arrange interviews with eligible candidates.
Other Requirements
- Aged 18 or above; and
- Individual course may have specific academic requirement(s); if not, applicants should be able to write and read in Chinese, and communicate in Cantonese.
- Applicants should be Hong Kong legal residents and is permitted to stay and work in Hong Kong;
- Applicants of bar-bending and fixing, painting, electrical installation courses are required to pass the colour/ physical fitness test to ensure the applicants have appropriate abilities to complete the courses.
- Applicants of the bar-bending and fixing course are required to wear or bring their own sportswear and sport shoes for the physical fitness test during the admission interview.

How to Apply
Applicants can bring along identity documents and visit Hong Kong Institute of Construction (HKIC) Kwai Chung Campus or Construction Industry Council (CIC) Service Centre during office hours to enroll safety training course. Applicants can also download application form from safety training course webpage at www.hkic.edu.hk and settle course fee by Jetco Payment, then return the completed form with Jetco Payment receipt copy via the following:

- By hand in person to HKIC Kwai Chung Campus or CIC Service Centre;

Notice of Application
In normal circumstances, HKIC -Safety Training Center will notify applicant within 7 working days upon receiving the application. HKIC will notify the class schedule to applicant by SMS. Please pay attention to mobile SMS. If applicant has not received the class schedule two months after submitting the application, please call for enquiry.

Notes: No need to settle the course fee when submitting the application for certificate course. Payment notice will be sent to the applicant individually after the class is arranged.

Notice of Application
In normal circumstances, HKIC-Safety Training Center will notify the estimated waiting time to applicant by email within 7 working days upon receiving the application. If applicant has not received the email two months after submitting the application, please call for enquiry.
Note: The estimated waiting time for class is for reference only and is subject to change according to the course schedule.
Full-time Adult Short Courses (Courses in English)
